12 Days of Christmas Neon Trail – City of Melbourne x Volter International
This Christmas, the City of Melbourne has partnered with Volter International to create a magical, uniquely Australian twist on the classic 12 Days of Christmas brought to life in glowing neon across the city.
Designed and produced in collaboration with the City of Melbourne, this vibrant trail features 12 custom neon installations, each celebrating an iconic Aussie animal in festive style:
A Kookaburra in a Gum Tree
Two Cockatoos
Three Pink Galahs
Four Dingos Dancing
Five Kangaroos
Six Platypuses Paddling
Seven Emus Eating
Eight Koalas Cuddling
Nine Treefrogs Gifting
Ten Wombats Ringing
Eleven Lizards Leaping
Twelve Possums Playing
Scattered throughout Melbourne’s streets and laneways, the trail invites locals and visitors alike to explore the city in a new light — discovering each glowing creature one by one.
To make the experience even more interactive, we’ll be releasing a downloadable trail map so you can easily find all twelve neon artworks.
