In November 2025, Central Coast Council celebrated 10 years of connection, community and waterways at The Lakes Festival, an award-winning program featuring more than 25 events across 11 locations. From live music and outdoor adventures to art, education and family-friendly experiences, the festival brought the region together in a vibrant, multi-day celebration.

For this milestone year, Volter International delivered our Day at the Neon Beach collection - a perfect fit for the festival’s day-to-evening format.

Designed specifically to transition seamlessly from sunlight to nightfall, the collection features bold, bright perspex backdrops paired with neon edging. During the day, the colourful perspex elements created strong visual impact, standing out against the natural waterfront surroundings and drawing families and festivalgoers into the activation space. As the sun set, the neon came to life, glowing along the edges and transforming the atmosphere into a vibrant evening feature.

The result was an installation that provided a consistent visual anchor throughout the event, encouraging guest interaction, photo moments and extended dwell time across the festival precinct.

For large-scale, multi-hour or multi-day events, collections like Day at the Neon Beach demonstrate how thoughtful design can maximise impact from morning through to evening.
